Sealed cover jurisprudence is nothing but as the word suggests there is something in a sealed cover. Sometimes judges of SC or lower court ask for any information to be sealed in any cover that is accessed by judges only. There is no specific doctrine that provides this power to the judiciary but this is given in Supreme Court Rules and Section 123 of the Indian Evidence Act of 1872. There is certain information that is not supposed to be disclosed or to be accessed by public so in that case, the judiciary exercises its power of "Sealed cover jurisprudence".
